Our culture is not in short supply of addictive activities; some seem to be more socially acceptable than others, but all are destructive and seemingly impossible to escape. Yet we have a sure Hope from Jesus found in one another! If you are interseted in helping spearhead a particular addiction support network (e.g. pornography, gambling, drugs, alcohol, food, electronics, etc.) contact [email protected]
Many people who are charged with misdemeanor crimes (not even convicted) often lose their jobs and risk not being able to pay rent or support their families simply because they cannot afford to post bail, and must either plead guilty or languish in jail waiting for trial. No one should risk eviction and family disruption simply because they are poor. If you are interested in helping spearhead a charitable bail fund for neighbors in Coos County, contact [email protected] (legal experience is a plus, but not required).
