"...I was hungry and you gave me food...Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me." -Matthew 25:35, 40
In 2015, the parish pantry was establisehed by Fr. Kyle Stanton to provide assistance to those in need. Initially called the Mother Marie Rivier Food Pantry to provide food and supplies ot those in need, the mission was expanded in 2020 to include diverse acts of charity beyond perishable and non-perishable goods. The pastor's inspiration came from the Presentation of Mary Sisters, founded by St. Marie Rivier. The sisters had a broad mission to feed the hungry, serve as catechists, council the suffering and promote Catholic parochial schools. It seemed fitting to imitate the mission of the sisters and assist people in a variety of ways. The physical location of the food pantry for the distribution of perishable and non-perishable goods is located at:

Mission Statement
The Marie Rivier Pantry & Ministries is a ministry of Good Shepherd and Holy Family Catholic Parishes. We seek to assist people in need of food, toiletries, basic supplies and financial assitance. As Pope Francis says, "to love God and neighbor is not something abstract, but profoundly concrete: it means seeing in every person the face of the Lord to be served." Let us serve one another as if we served the Lord. (From Our Donor Card 2015)
Families or individuals may join the meal train to cook and deliver homemade meals to new mothers, and others facing illness or financial hardship.
